House's Exasperated Oncologist Heading Back to Broadway

Robert Sean Leonard, best known for playing best buddy and foil to Hugh Laurie's dyspeptic title character on FOX's hit series House, M.D., will join the cast of a new Broadway revival of Garson Kanin's Born Yesterday, producers said today.

Leonard is not one of those "TV actors" who will have to prove his stageworthiness. Prior to House he had a very successful Broadway career, earning several Tony nominations and winning one a decade ago for his performance in The Invention of Love, Tom Stoppard's play about poet A.E. Housman.

Leonard's films include Dead Poets Society and The Age of Innocence. He's played Dr. James Wilson on House since the show debuted in 2004.

In Born Yesterday Leonard will co-star with Jim Belushi and Nina Arianda. Previews start March 31, with opening night scheduled for April 24.
